this is my tenuous trek into the tenacious tide of tumblr. I am twenty years old
and these are some things I made.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
E.M. Forster
paper cut 10”x12”
Portrait of E.M. Forster done for my Illustrators Heritage class. Look closely and you’ll see Maurice and Alec standing on his shoulder.
Pea Green Boat
adobe illustrator 6.5” x 8”
First part of my ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’ triptych.
A Creepy Crawly Wiggly Place II
paper cut 14”x22”
A spread from my ongoing book illustration project.
A few days ago, my Hat Man necklace from Tuxessories came! It’s limited edition, wonderfully priced, and so fantastic, with its ‘I Believe in Sherlock’ on the back.
It’s quite classy, so get that shit before it’s gone.
A Single Man
paper cut 10”x14”
This is the bigger, better version! Complete with leather shoes, and a lot of tiny documents and notes that have actual words on them.
A Creepy Crawly Wiggly Place
paper cut 11”x14”
The title page and last page of my book of swamp poems. There’s three more spreads to come for my book illustration class, but eventually I would like to paper cut the whole thing, and maybe publish it one day.
Bee and Keys
paper cut 5”x7”
A logo that I made for one of my classes. I originally did it as a linoleum cut, but of course, I’m not going to pass up the opportunity to paper cut it.
Terrarium
paper cut 4” x6” ish
So I tried something different. It honestly looked different in my head, but I still like how it turned out.
Bellamy Bug
paper cut 2”x2”
This is a little british bug from the episode ‘Rainy Day Daydream’ of Adventure Time. I kind of love him, I mean he’s just trying to sell some doilies, man.
The Velveteen Rabbit and the Fairy
paper cut 4.5”x6”
